Kusudama

Product:

In Japan, it was the traditional custom to suspend a ball of sweet-smelling herbs above the bed of a sick person. These hanging balls, called kusudama, were also sometimes used as charms to ward off sickness. This is the origami version of the ball. It contains no herbs, though it retains the tradition. One ball is constructed from thirty-six squares of paper.
